Some photos from an early morning paddle on Wyaralong Dam this morning. A kayak makes a great platform for watching water birds and allows you to get much closer than you would be able to on land.

These were all shot on a Canon 7D Mk11 with a 70-200 2.8 and 2x Extender. Taken on the water from my kayak – mostly handheld but also using a monopod at times.
Wyaralong dam is a great place for watching bird life – especially in the western reaches of the dam. For more info about where to go just comment below or send me an email.
