Got up early and headed up to a high road overlooking the Maroon valley hoping for a nice blanket of mist over the ground and a sunrise on the mountains. The mist was there but just before sunrise a large bank of cloud deposited itself on top of me and reduced visibility to around 10 meters… and the end of any scenic landscapes. Anyway hope you enjoy these ‘Misty Morning’ photos.
The view I was hoping for but without the blanket of cloud rapidly descending over Mount Maroon
My favourite shot from the morning – I like the lines of trees and the eerie mist around them
Another shot of the trees in the mist with the Main range in the background
The blue sky trying to cut through the fog
Visibility got down to about 10 meters at one stage
