These dead branches at the base of the dune on Rainbow beach caught my eye with the timber against the coloured sands. I’m really in two minds about whether I like this photo – the colours and the lines I like but I have focussed too far back into the image and the blurred branches at the front are distracting. I should have used a smaller aperture to get more depth of focus in the image but still gotten the dunes nice and blurred.
Anyone have any ideas on a better composition for this one? I’m thinking maybe getting lower to put the main trunks more against the dunes rather than the rather bland beach colours. Oh well – I’ll just have to go back sometime.
