Went on a photo hunt with my youngest daughter and we came across a pair of these beautiful birds out hunting the creek banks. They would hover over a spot for 10 seconds then either swoop down or circle around over another patch of ground. Amazing to watch them.
Taken on my 50D with my new (for me) 70-200 2.8 lens but have been cropped quite heavily so have lost some clarity.
